Many schemes related to social security are being run by the Gujarat government. The category of Social Security includes widow beneficiaries, disabled beneficiaries, economically weaker beneficiaries etc. For them, various sub-departments of Social Justice And Empowerment Department (SJED) are functioning, such as Director, Scheduled Caste Welfare, Director, Developing Caste Welfare, Director, Social Security etc. Many welfare schemes are being run by this department.
Purpose of the Disabled Bus Pass Scheme
Gujarat ST Bus Pass Scheme is being run by the Directorate of Social Security for the disabled. In which this scheme has been implemented so that the disabled persons of Gujarat can easily go for further studies, for treatment, to their place of employment or any other place. Under this scheme, the disabled beneficiaries can travel free of cost in GSRTC buses within the state of Gujarat.
Scheme Eligibility
The eligibility for the e samaj kalyan scheme of the Government of Gujarat has been determined. In which the following eligibility has been determined for the Divyang Bus Pass scheme.
- A person with 40 percent or more disability can get the benefit of this scheme.
- The disabled person should have a Divyang Identity Card.

Disabled beneficiaries of Gujarat will have to apply for Handicapped bus pass form online. Through which the benefit of free travel within the state of Gujarat is given in all types of buses of Gujarat State Road Transport.

- In which the official website of E Samaj Kalyan https://esamajkalyan.gujarat.gov.in/ will open.
- If there is a new user on E Samaj Kalyan Portal, then the registration process will have to be done by going to “New User? Please Register Here”.
- After successful registration, the beneficiary will have to open his/her Personal Login Page by clicking on “e samaj kalyan Citizen Login”.
- Now, go to Director Social Defense and click on “PHID and Travel Pass”.
- The information as asked in the Bus Pass Online Form will have to be filled.
